In response to Shanxi’s policies on green agricultural development and the resource utilization of livestock and poultry manure, and to overcome the bottleneck of low-end and low-value-added organic fertilizer products in the local area, local enterprises upgraded their organic fertilizer deep-processing production lines, focusing on the production of high-end granulated organic fertilizer. On June 12, 2025, the complete 30,000-ton-per-year disc granulation organic fertilizer production line successfully completed on-site commissioning and officially entered commercial mass production.

Compared to conventional extrusion granulation equipment, disc granulation technology has stronger compatibility and produces superior finished products. It eliminates the need for ultra-fine grinding of raw materials and can directly adapt to various mixed raw materials such as well-rotted livestock and poultry manure, agricultural straw, and humus, effectively reducing energy consumption and production costs in the early stages of processing. The entire production line achieves integrated automated operation of batching, mixing, granulation, drying, cooling, screening, and packaging, significantly reducing manual intervention, greatly improving production efficiency, and enabling continuous and stable operation 24 hours a day.

Taking into account the local climate and production conditions in Shanxi, the equipment delivered this time underwent special optimization and upgrades. The machine body is made of corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials, suitable for long-term dry and dusty operating environments, ensuring stable operation and a low failure rate. The produced granular organic fertilizer is uniform in appearance, durable for storage, easy to transport, and less prone to moisture absorption and clumping. Compared to powdered organic fertilizer, its market circulation and product premium are significantly improved, making it suitable for various sales models such as local agricultural input wholesale and direct supply to production bases.

After the project is implemented, it can harmlessly dispose of tens of thousands of tons of livestock manure, agricultural straw, and other waste annually, solving the environmental problems of livestock farming at the source and establishing a green planting and breeding cycle system of “livestock waste treatment – organic fertilizer processing – farmland and orchard fertilization.” The stable and high-quality organic fertilizer output effectively improves soil compaction and declining soil fertility, helping to improve the quality and yield of local specialty crops, creating considerable economic and ecological benefits for the enterprise.

The success of this 30,000‑ton‑per‑year project demonstrates the power of integrating advanced fermentation composting turning technology with efficient downstream processing. Well‑composted manure, properly turned and aerated, provides a consistent feedstock for the organic fertilizer disc granulation production line, where gentle, low‑temperature shaping preserves organic matter and produces uniform, spherical granules. The subsequent fertilizer drying and cooling machine ensures optimal moisture removal and temperature stabilisation, preventing caking and extending shelf life. Together, these technologies transform agricultural waste into premium granular organic fertiliser, boosting soil health, crop quality, and farm profitability — a replicable model for green agriculture in resource‑limited regions.
