Organic fertilizer dryer is one of the important equipment for organic fertilizer production. The main purpose of drying is to further reduce the moisture content of organic fertilizer particles with higher moisture content (generally between 35% and 45%) after granulation through the dryer. Moisture content meets storage and sales standards.
1.Drying principle. The drying process is mainly based on the principle of heat transfer. The heat is transferred to the organic fertilizer particles through the heating system, which causes the internal water to evaporate, thus reducing the moisture content. The drying process requires strict control of temperature and time to avoid carbonization of organic matter and loss of nitrogen evaporation.

2.Drying equipment. Common drying equipment are dryers, pipe jet dryers and so on. There is a heating system inside the dryer, which is generally provided by a biomass furnace, natural gas furnace or liquefied gas furnace. When the organic fertilizer dryer is working, the granular material is in full contact with the hot air to achieve rapid drying. The pipe jet dryer uses a frequency converter to control the deceleration drive system, which can control the residence time of organic fertilizer particles in the equipment and further improve the drying efficiency.
3.Drying process. During the drying process, the organic fertilizer enters the organic fertilizer dryer through the conveyor belt. With the rotation of the drying cylinder, the material gradually rises to a certain Angle and is in full contact with the hot air. When the particles are heated, the water inside evaporates to form water vapor. The water vapor and dust are discharged from the drying device through the action of high-power outdoor dust removal fan. After drying, the moisture content of organic fertilizer particles is reduced to less than 20% (biological organic fertilizer needs to be reduced to less than 15%), in line with NY525-2012 “organic fertilizer” standards.
