During compost fermentation, temperature, moisture, pH value, and C/N ratio are important factors affecting compost fermentation. The temperature during organic fertilizer fermentation can be summarized as a steady rise in temperature in the early stage, moderate high temperature in the middle stage, and a slow drop in temperature in the later stage. The control of temperature during composting directly affects the maturity of organic fertilizer in the later stage. Today, Huaqiang Heavy Industry mainly explains to you how to control the temperature during organic fertilizer fermentation.
The temperature of normal organic fertilizer fermentation is mainly regulated by turning the compost and forced ventilation. Generally, it follows the principle of “unequal temperature at different times and different times at different temperatures”. In the early stage of fermentation, even if the fermentation temperature rises slowly or even does not rise, the compost must be turned or ventilated after 48 hours to avoid the formation of an anaerobic environment in the compost; in the high temperature stage, when the compost temperature is lower than 50℃, the compost should be turned in time (the oxygen is reduced, resulting in a gradual reduction in the reaction in the compost, thereby reducing the temperature), to increase the compost temperature, promote the decomposition of organic matter and kill harmful microorganisms; in the later stage of fermentation, once the temperature exceeds 65℃, the compost must be turned in time to prevent carbonization and ammonia of organic matter. At this time, a trough compost turner can be used.
During the fermentation process, temperature control is very important. If the temperature is too low, the compost will not reach the standard of maturity; if the temperature is too high, the nutrients in the compost will be easily lost. The temperature inside the compost is based on the distance from the outside to 30 cm inside. Therefore, the metal rod of the thermometer used to measure the temperature should be longer than 30 cm. When measuring, it should be inserted more than 30 cm into the compost to correctly reflect the fermentation temperature of the compost.
The above are the things you should pay attention to when fermenting organic fertilizer. If you are interested in organic fertilizer production, please contact Huaqiang Heavy Industry.
