The beef cattle breeding industry is concentrated in Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province. The large-scale accumulation of cow manure has created environmental pressure. Local walnut, cherry, and medicinal herb planting bases have a strong demand for commercially available granular organic fertilizer. In April 2025, our company delivered a complete production line for 15 tons per hour of cow manure granular organic fertilizer to a local agricultural enterprise, with a designed annual capacity of 45,000 tons, achieving harmless treatment of livestock manure and recycling of agricultural resources.

 

The complete production line configuration includes: a screw extrusion solid-liquid separator to dehydrate the original cow manure from 75%-80% moisture content to 55%-60%; a 22kW semi-wet material crusher with an output particle size ≤5mm; and an SJ 2000 horizontal twin-shaft mixer with a mixing uniformity CV ≤7%, adjusting the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio of cow manure and straw to 25-30:1. The fermentation section employs a trough-type rotary turner with a turning depth of 1.4m, equipped with a biological filter deodorization system. The material undergoes a high-temperature aerobic fermentation at 55-65℃ for 12-15 days, effectively killing insect eggs, weed seeds, and harmful bacteria, meeting the NY/T 525 2021 organic fertilizer standard.

The downstream section features a rotary drum granulator with a granulation rate ≥90%, producing 2-4mm granules. This is paired with a Φ1.5×14m drum dryer and cooler to control the finished product moisture content to ≤14.5%. A drum screener and a fully automatic quantitative packaging scale provide packaging accuracy of ±0.5%, supporting 25-50kg bags. The entire production line is centrally controlled by PLC frequency conversion, ensuring automated continuous operation.

Our engineers were on-site to complete the plant layout, equipment installation and docking, and no-load and loaded testing of the machines. Simultaneously, they provided practical training to operators on equipment maintenance and process control. Upon commissioning, the project will stably reach its designed capacity of 15 tons per hour, with the finished product containing ≥45% organic matter, directly supplying surrounding economic crop planting bases.

The project will process over 100,000 tons of cow manure annually, solving the problem of livestock manure disposal. Customer feedback indicates a low equipment failure rate, the entire production line is compatible with high-moisture cow manure raw materials, and energy consumption is controllable. Future plans include adding a batching system and upgrading the NPK organic-inorganic compound fertilizer production function.
